Ní áontaim le an bhfeáchtais 1+1+1 mar go mbeidh sé ró-deachair do daoine triúr h-ábhar a déanamh i triúr teanga.
Canathoabh a gceapann tú é sin, a Ghinereáil? Tá go leor tíorthta san Eoraip agus ar domhain a bhfuil córas dhá theangach nó trí theangach acu - an tSualann aus an Fhionlainn san áireamh (mar shampla Fionnlannais, Suallainis agus Béarla sa bhFionlainn) agus de réir dealraimh, bíonn torthaí níos fearr acu ná ag na tíortha aon-teangacha.

Ní thuigim. Tá Fraincís agus Gearmáinis níos fearr ag daltaí na Fionnlaine is atá ag daltaí na hÉireann agus tá Fionnlannais, Sualainais agus Béarla acu freisin - agus leis sin, de réir na statisticí, éiríonn go han-mhaith leo (níos fearr ná na hÉireannaigh, na Sasanaigh is na Meiriceánaigh) i gcúrsai mataimatice agus éolaíochta.

Perhaps you can explain why support for that motion (which isn't 'abortion on demand', a cliché employed by morons) is incompatible with 'genuine' republicanism, mattt.

Bhuel, má déanann tú Mata, Béarla agus Francais beidh ort Mata a déanamh trí Béarla agus Francais.

Ní thuigim cad tá i gceist agat in aon chor. As Béalra dúirt tú:

"If you do Maths, English and French, you will have to do Maths through English and French."

Níl mórán ciall le sin, nó má tá, is cuma sa tsioc faoi. Is teanga idirnáisiúinta í an Mataimatic.

    Abortion motions

So all the abortion motions failed...the pro-choice one, the pro-life one, and the pro-conscience one. So we have no position on abortion really...at least seriously.

A mate of mine asked what SF's position on abortion was, I joked that it was pro-abortion in Dublin 4 and on RTE and pro-life in Kerry and Donegal and Tyrone. Looks like that had more truth than I had hoped.

There was a real opportunity to take a leadership role on this issue by adopting the pro-life motion from the Tadgh Barry Cumann. I wonder if this isn't somehow related to the decline of Oglaigh na hEireann's influence in the party.

I'm happy to say that that horrible motion was defeated by a larger margin than the pro-choice one.
