Some interesting ones there, particularly from the Black/Ryan cumann in Dublin on the Stormont agreement, and number 453 on prisoners from the Wexford cumann.

453 is actually simply a restatement of current policy, though perhaps the language is tougher than previously. The reference to 'allegiance to Sinn Féin' should be amended though. All Repubican prisoner regardless of organisation and tactics certainly. But there's no-one in prison on the basis of their loyalty to or membership of a political party.

The Black/Ryan motions have certainly impacted on the internal debate within the party but I would expect their motions on the Agreement to pass easily enough.

I agree with the Wexford motion regarding political prisoners.

It is wrong for those of us who support Sinn Féin to condemn or criminalise
those who wish to continue armed struggle, although there strength and support are to be questioned. It would be hypocritical, and akin to the stance of FF who think nothing of comemorating the men and women of '16, and yet criminalising later generations of republicans.

I agree also with motion 49.

The GFA was most certainly not an act of national self determination, as it posed different questions to those in the 6 and those in the 26. The GFA should always, in my opinion, be used strategically to complete republican aspirations.

Apart from the GFA, Policing and so their are some really good Motions within the Clár in relation to Health, Transport, infastructure, Child Poverty, People with Disabilities, Garda/Judicial Reform.

Looking forward to a good weekend of debate.

On the prisoners issue I'd have thought that someone would have submitted a motion calling on the Ard Comhairle to explain why an amnesty was not negotiated for them.

    They seem a little RSF-ish, don't they?

Would you say that 247 ("This Ard Fheis declares that Sinn Féin participation in a 26 County government be permitted only on the basis that the party is the larger/senior party in a two-party or multi-party coalition.") will pass?
