Why shouldn't the United Kingdom armed forces be able to recruit within the United Kingdom :

The 'six counties' are part of the United Kingdom according to international law, the wishes of the majority of its inhabitants and a treaty to which Sinn Fein are a party.

They therefore have far more right to be there than the IRA.

That treaty is an historical compromise. It does not mean that a substantial minority (40%+) now view the Britsh Army as their army. The six counties is a divided society. Now in England, the BA can recruit away as they are the accepted army over there. I really should not have to spell this out to unionists like yourself. After decades of Apartheid and the resistance of the nationalist community, one would think that unionism would have learnt to understand about equality in a divided society.

You see, pogo, the days of dominance are over. Get with the programme. The BA will never be acceptable to northern nationalists. Just like the UDR/RIR, BSpecials, and RUC. The common demoninator is that they are all gone or going. Now, the IRA have left the scene. Isn't it about time the British military/paramilitary apparatus called it a day too.

    I make small weep.
    But the question remains unaddressed:

Why shouldn't the United Kingdom armed forces be able to recruit within the United Kingdom :
Nothing will motivate the lazy / apathetic / Americanised / west-British types to embrace their culture and the Irish language.

    Reason Why?

All Provo's are now expected to attend and participate fully in any RUC/PSNI or any British ARMY security force recruitment drive.

OTR's deal is done so lets put on the Brit uniform and we can do what we want Broy Harriers THE RETURN.

I doubt MI5 would touch OTC members with a barge pole.

And yes, I have no problem with it. I'd also have no problem with the FCA recruiting in Queens, or the British Armed Forces recruiting in UCD or Trinity.

Has there ever been an OSF press release, campaign, or other initiative which didn't involve the words "Brits", "British" or "British Army" ??

This fixation is almost as bad as ROC's frothy-mouthed obsession with Brian Hayes
"The IRA Army Council have a history of telling the truth. If they say they didn't do it, then I believe them" - Bertie Ahern, speaking after the murder of Det. Garda Jerry McCabe

    But the question remains unaddressed:

Why shouldn't the United Kingdom armed forces be able to recruit within the United Kingdom :

    For the reasons already outlined

The main reason being that nationalists don't consider it "their army"?

But that means you accept that a majority of the people in NI do think its "their" army. So don't they have a right to join "their" army?

Leave them alone padraig, this website is all they've got left. It's a healthy hobby for them.

Yes, but not to be recruited in a shared and politically divided college campus in the six counties. Especially at this time.
