So who do people think will run next year in each area?
Here's my pitch:
Dublin - MLM, Obviously
East: Thomas Sharkey or John Dwyer
North West: Padraig MacLochlainn
South: David Cullinane or Toireasa Ferris possibly

i'm your best friend and although i'm not a member of the party and my opinion doesn't count i'd put arthur morgan and toireasa forward and pearse instead of padraig
I'd say thats a fairly good suggestion of candidates although I would include Bairbre De Brun again for the six counties.Originally Posted by Kerrygold

Why MacLochlainn instead of Doherty?
Didn't Doherty only miss it by a whisker last time?
Is it because MacLochlainn directed the SF "no" campaign so is seen as having a higher profile now?
Edit: Here we are, Pearse Doherty nearly topped the poll:

I'd say it's his for the asking. It's only a question of does he want to run.
If there is a future, it will be Green.
I'd imagine it's because Doherty now holds a seat that can't be co-opted.Originally Posted by QuizMaster

Do you think then that he would also defend his council seat?

Of course he would.. but I think Paraic will run, and win, a seat in the West next time.. especially if there is another Lisbon vote before the EurosOriginally Posted by QuizMaster

1,197 people agree with me.. how many agree with you ?
Yeah, having met him I have to say he's a decent chap.
He did unsettle me a little bit when I went to introduce myself to him and he said "It's alright, I know who you are".
