I Don't Like Moandays, St Bob v The Flakers.

Sir Saint Bob has accused the Shin Flake Dublin Lord of gurning moppery...

“This is just typical Sinn Fein nonsense. I wish they’d focus on the problems to hand and the issues to hand, rather than going back 100 years to some non-sequitur that has nothing to do with Aung San Suu Kyi.”

The spat occurred due to the Sir saint returning his rights to graze sheep on Grafton St, an honor which he had shared with Myanmar leader Aung San Suu Kyi...

The musician turned up at City Hall to give back his scroll in protest against Myanmar leader Aung San Suu Kyi holding the same accolade. Geldof, 66, said the Nobel Peace Prize winner had “duped” Ireland. He told RTE he was “very proud” to be on the “very select roll” of people who have been granted the freedom of the city. But he added: “I don’t want to be on it with a killer – someone who is at best a handmaiden to genocide and an accomplice to murder.”

The Shin Flake Dublin Lord Micheal Mac Donncha had a pop at sir saint Geldof’s decision to give back the award...

“I find it ironic that he makes this gesture while proudly retaining his title as Knight Commander of the Order of the British Empire, given the shameful record of British imperialism across the globe.”

Hopefully the shocking SF skulduggery will not detract from sir saints supreme sacrifice...

"Sir" Bob is a spoofer - a rich spoofer - but a spoofer still.

The SF mayor has a point - "Sir" Bob was happy to accept an honour from the same government responsible for the Bloody Sunday massacre, he was happy to share that honour with Robert Mugabe among other miscreants, so his fussing about the freedom of Dublin is worthy of nothing but scorn.

    Good one here from MallowNews

Bob Geldof has a net worth of around £30 million and as a registered non domicile has availed of a tax loopholes# for years. If he wants to hand something back he might try something more meaningful than the freedom of Dublin.

From his very first appearance on LLS, he was an obvious dick. Nothing he has done in the forty years since has done anything but build on that impression.

Agreed 100% on the illogicality of his retaining his honorary K. Maybe he's holding onto it to create another news story when he hands that back in.

Geldof was give the Peace Summit Award in 2005 by the World Summit of Nobel Peace Laureates which included Aung San Suu Kyi. He didn't return that honour.

Geldof got rich and built his media empire upon the back of a Live Aid charity concert.

Aung Sang Suu Kyi has no honorary British title to be confiscated, if she had, it would be a fair point.

I think that you'll find a lengthy list of people with Ks who have blood on their hands, Mugabe being one.
