The DUP are not dreaming of being in government in the Dail. SF are. The next time they stand for election the people in the ROI will be invited to look at their record in the north where they have just ccrashed the governent into the ground. The electorate will then be asked if the fancy a bit of that in the Dail. I think they will ake their own minds up about that and the Sinner vote will fall as a result.

Laughable delusion. SF wo't be in government for the reasons set out above, but in the very unlikely event that they were did make it to the dizzy heights it would be a one term wonder as per the PDs and Labour before them.

Is it the wicketkeeper who dismisses the batsman or the batsman himself? Does the bowler have any invlvement or is there collusion between all three or any two of them?

You say stuff and then there's the actual position of what will happen if direct rule returns. SF are by some distance one of the top 3 parties in the ROI where the seat numbers for the foreseeable future require 2 out of that top 3 to form a Coalition Govt with a working majority.

That didn't matter until the DUP overplayed their hand and pushed SF out of the comfort zone of being in Govt in NI. You lot broke it.
The actual position, as set out in law, is that there will either be devolved governmet in Stormont or direct rule from London. That direct rule is likely to be from a conservative government for at the very least ten years, and most likely twenty years.

No. The fact is that the Sinners crashed Stormont. There were many times when the DUP could have crashed it because of SF behaviour, up to and including murder, but they didn't. Saying that Arlene was mean to them just doesn't cut it.

It's a long game. Mertin was a fan apparently.

Keep telling yourself that, they went into Govt with the DUP and came through it unscathed. They're tenacious feckers.

I think i'm in a slightly better position than you, to access the attitude of "the southern electorate" to the 'cash for ash' scandal, & subsequent events..

now, "the southern electorate" may not have a very high opinion of their own political parties,
however, low as their opinion of their own political parties may be,
I have to tell you that the sectarian bigots of the DUP would rate minus in the approval scale of the vast majority of "the southern electorate".

And they managed to get over them hurdles, dreadful behaviour and all that it was.
She established and stood over a crazy scheme re heating and refused to close it down when advised to do do. One of her own has told us this.
If she had stood aside for a short while then the deed would have been done.
It's her fault, her stubbornness her pride that has caused this.
