I dont think so. How many SF pups are part of the fee paying private schools sector??? There is a golden circle in the this flawed State that is untouchable.

Love him or loathe him, he's going to be the most totemic historical figure of the modern era of Irish history.

I've never voted for SF and I never will.
(Too old to forget the atrocities committed by the Provos).

But Adams part in the peace process has to be commended.

Adams has made SF electable in this jurisdiction (ably abetted it must be said by Haughey/Ahern/Kenny and their cohorts).

Adams is an atrocious parliamentarian. McGuinness is way ahead IMO but Bertie figures very large in the success of the GFA as well. His lack of ideology served it well along with what eventually became the Lisbon treaty.

I also think the two Marys rank well up there, certainly ahead of Adams.

Really nobody towering anywhere since the seventies and in our case it was Lemass and TK Whittaker. I do think Dukes will get a footnote for the selflessness of the Tallaght Strategy..

Historic = important . Historical means part of history. In the context of the GFA absolutely but not much elsewhere though.

Exactly. Credit where it is due.

Not sure if it was that poster but someone recently said something similar because they discovered that the local candidate was an unreconstructed "struggle" waffler.
