It's democratic, you just don't like the particular brand of democracy.
My name referes to collective thinking, as in pr-intellectualism, oppose to anti-intellectualism; i.e. socialism.(Theres little on anyone commenting on that unless the get the term).

What if the majority dont want individual sectors to be controled individually?

Example; what if the people that live around Tara or Mayo, want the pipeline and the motorway o be built? But the majority of the country dont it to?

    What of non-profit sectors?

If your point is towards nationalisation of things, I'm not against nationalising things if I believe if would be more productive.

Your one man aim will be to get J Higgins reelected to the Dáil and that will be a very large feat.

Actually Darren - you once again display a total ignorance about the aims and objective of the SP. The SP does not regard Dail elections as the vehicle through which socialism can/will be achieved. It is merely a public platform through which we can explain ideas.[/quote:2t8ja292]

Your brand of communism/socialism will never come onto the political agenda anywhere. The most successful branch in your international 'organisation' was Ireland where you had 1 TD.

You will always be a fringe party.

very simplistic JRG.. maybe I'm building up a substantial enough share so as to take them down from the inside.. you know, like a sleeper cell.. or a front.. like um.. People Before Profit
Why are you in Sinn Fein if its a party which claims to be socialist .
Freedom in capitalist society always remains about the same as it was in ancient Greek republics: Freedom for slave owners. For a Real Alternative :

No - you'd just be tortured and shot if you joined a left-wing one (or were disabled, jewish, a traveller or homosexual)
