You do know the meaning of sectarianism, dont you?

Yes, are you going to tell me that this wasn't sectarian?
We should be shaping an Ireland based on full respect for the human and civil rights of all our people, an Ireland of which Larkin and Connolly would be very proud.

No, OD. I actually KNOW SF members. Admittedly, they have cleaned up their act publicly in recent times but scratch one enough and you'll soon get a rant about "Orangies" and "f-in Prods" etc. Didn't another one recently imjure himself trying to pour petrol through the roof of an Orange Hall ?

I imagine you know plenty of people who like to shout things like 'up da 'ra' etc. whilst drunk and imagining they are being 'hard'.

You then associate them with SF members for the most tenuous reasons.

The reality as I have experienced it of Sinn Fein people is that they are very anti sectarian in their outlook and in their organisation.[/quote:1gh9ja9k]

When does reality ever matter when it comes to talking s.hite?

Is snout a sectarian insult or a reference to those who inform? Not being totally immersed in the Vulgar Argot of the North of Ireland, I'm assuming it is similar to 'tout', 'rat' or 'stool pidgeon'.

No a snout is a protestant

Then it is an insult and therefore sectarian.

Well, then my apologies? Do you have any idea of the etymology of the word?
