But who knows? Maybe the results from the NILT are exactly the same as the entire NI electorate, maybe they aren't. We simply don't know.
They are rarely out by more than 5% if the sample is over 1000 and some care is taken to get a good cross-section of people. When you throw in the fact that many Catholics are in the civil service or indirectly reliant on the British state you can see that it might be a tricky one for them even though they may well be voting SF in the GEs.It's academic in my view anyway as I suspect that there are quite a few Catholics who are as hostile to SF as we are in the south and there is a loss among the unicorns of 6% for the green side so that in effect the Catholics will have to have a substantial majority to ever hope for a UI by that route-it's all just nonsense.

Yeah I found that odd too. In the U.S. they are known as Scotch Irish and surely Ulster Irish would refer to those in the North with an affinity to Ireland not Britain.

Jordan's "Micheal Collins" gets made and Harris's "Mick" doesn't.

Derek Nally, whom he told to eat porridge?
    Presidential candidate 1997.

    John Unionist and Fine Gael.
Who could forget that crude bit of Trotskyite theatre starring Twink?

    Official Sinn Fein
Thought leader, man of destiny. Didn't work out too well.

    Fianna Fail and Bertie
Ahern appoints Harris to the Seanad in an emulation of Roman Classicism. Like the Roman Empire, Fianna Fail collapsed.

    So does Labour want him?
His old comrades from the Workers Party have destroyed that party.

Was going to stand up to Denis O'Brien and resign to uphold the honour of the Sindo. I guess the honour of the Sindo was worth less than a weekly column.

He's the Typhoid Mary of Irish politics.

I always thought it was Scots Irish as Scotch is the Scottish version of whiskey.

I have been one of E.H.'s most persistent critics on politics.ie. However I think gloating at his cancer diagnosis is beyond the pale.

Come March 2011 the person called him asking for the whereabouts of the £1,400 quid. He denied the bet untill a recording was produced at which time he kindly sent a bank draft to Belfast. The person, being a decent man, then signed the back of the bank draft and passed on to Sinn Fein, and the money was used in May that year to elect one Gerry Adams to Westminster!! Cheers Eoghan!!

EDIT: (Sorry it was actually the assebley election the funds were used for, still funny though)
Good story. Now reverse the characters. Would Grizzly have coughed up do you think ?

Lol-that guy got lucky that a 100 year perfect economic storm struck so that he could put one over on Harris.I hope the SF plans for the utopian United Irish socialist republic are based on something more reliable-just for their own sakes like-I'd hate to see them gettin upset and ranting and raving or anything like that

This would obviously apply to those living in the UK ,whose "loyalties" lie elsewhere?
As for unionists, I care not for them. The Nationalist population in the 6 counties is increasing, while the unionist lot are declining. Once 50%+1 supports unity there won't be anything unionists, or their infantile supporters in D4 and Sindo Towers can do about it.
We'll just have to wait and see ,won't we.However your childlike assumption, that 100% of RCs support a UI ,is quite amusing.Assuming only 5-10% supported the Union, how many generations would that put your fantasy back by?
