Sinn Fein; a Party of Contradictions.

Over approximately the last year, the amount of contradictions in policy is both baffling & amusing in SF. To put it bluntly, from the black and white facts of it, Sinn Fein are party who flip/flop on policy.
    Here is a few examples.

    The Queens Visit.
First of all you would think SF being a Republican party they would be opposed to visit of the Queen to Dublin, given that they state they want to bring a United Ireland. From the onset they gave the impression that they were indifferent to Queen Lizzys visit. They seemed to be neither here or there on the visit. Fair enough, you might say. Taking the same approach as when the Orange Order visited Dublin. But here is were it gets confusing, there was a minor SF protest outside Leinster House, (99 Black Balloons!) and their youth wing was placing anti-Queens stickers around the town, then a full U-turn with the SF Cashel Mayor welcoming the Queen, and McGuiness was forever on about how he would love to meet the Queen & Prince Charley! Now that’s all we hear from McGuiness, the Queen the Queen.

    Tory Stormont & IMF/EU cuts.
We have heard from SF that the IMF must go, no more cuts, and jobs must be created. But just 70 miles up the road (or a mile depending on Geography) in Stormont; the cuts must be made, cut backs in public services, jobs lost, imposed by the British Tory Party. So its cuts in the South Bad, But cuts in the North Good! IMF Bad, but Tory’s good! An All-Ireland Party? An All-Ireland Party that has two different policy’s in two different areas of Ireland, but one obvious agenda. Power, Votes, & more Power! But what is the point in having Power, with no principles, Power is indeed intoxicating!
SF Building an Ireland with Two Different Polices? An All-Ireland Party but not in principle & policy, where Irish People are treated different according which occupier they are under, the British or The IMF!

    The Household Tax.
SF “policy” on this issue is the most confusing & baffling. Even people in SF have no idea what their policy is. SF tell the people we are against this Tax, but pay it as you may be fined! So policy is confined to the talking shop of Leinster House, but not the hundreds of meetings, taking place within communities in every corner of the state. Even from has been said at SF at some of these meetings, is pure hypocrisy & opportunism! In one area SF (though saying they were SF!) was encouraging people to pay the tax, but in another area, the SF rep, hoping for election told the meeting he supports their campaign then left before finish!
So how do SF “oppose” this Tax? By grand speeches in Leisnter House? Do they call for a mass non-payment? From what I have seen on this issue, it is probably a riddle that will not be answered, or more likely they SF do not know.

Sinn Fein a party of hypocrisy & contradictions and two different policy’s in One Country?

I see the resident SF apologist, who has nothing to do with SF of course, is quick off the mark with a picture. How about addressing the contradictions posited even if the poster is anti-SF?

I think I'll stay out of this one. I'm not in the mood for repeating the same stuff I've been posting since I joined this site. It's difficult to find a purpose when one is arguing with someone that just doesn't want to listen.

If your going to start a bash SF thread at least get your facts right.

The reality is that all of these apparent contradictions apply only at a superficial level. SF is, in fact, a single issue organization currently posing as a political party. But their only goal is a united Ireland - and let there be no doubt but that they will resort to any means, including a return to violence, if they deem it the approach most likely to succeed, in pursuit of that goal. Their current set of ill-conceived and poorly developed policies merely serve to confirm the irrelevance to them of all issues not related to the "national question".

I see the resident p.ie nut ball is quick off the mark with an ad hominem attack.

How about following your own advice and addressing the OP?

I'm not surprised to see an anti Sinn Fein thread appear. The last time I believe I seen one of these was when the leading government was in trouble with the public. This thread is a ploy to stop people turning to Sinn Fein. Zoo please!
