why don't you go out for dinner to a nice restaurant, have a few bottles of wine, finish of with a nice brandy, and then don't pay.

I suppose it's a change from the traditional SF position which was we have no money so lets rob a bank now that they have no money what's the point!

So gambling and taking risks on the money market is the same as going for a meal?
    Nice analogy.
Will you pay me back any money I lose when I gamble or take a risk???

No...they just believe we shouldn't have to pay back debts which aren't ours.
Do you pay your neighbours debts for him? If not, why not? You seem to think I should have to pay back private bank debts.

Paulp -why dont you go out for a meal- some wine and a brandy and pay for it -even if the waiter comes back with a bill that includes the cost of the meal for those at the next table aswell?

Reputations dont put food on tables -dont pay bills- including wage bills -dont put money in ATMs and certainly doesnt reduce the gambling debts of others that we are currently paying for.

This FG/Lab shower seem to acting more blindly than the last lot and are fixated with some far off dream that might be if we behave and do as we are told -meanwhile Rome burns around them -because our reputation must be protected at all costs.

I would much prefer if we had an international reputation for defending our primary national interest -our people!
I can see that side of the argument and agree with much of it but my question is will we be able to function in the short-medium term - will our borrowing costs rise further. Will future markets shrug off or define us by our actions now.
