Probably the most despised man in Irish soccer, on a domestic level at least. Why have Sinn Féin resorted to giving this spoofer a column in their monthly publication? Is it because he looks like the brother of Sinn Féin's recent candidate in Dublin West?

Im a shinner, and regularly pick up an phoblacht but I have to say I am very disappointed at this. He is a loud mouth and a bore. He left carlisle amidst all sorts of allegations, and didnt exactly cover himself in glory at dublin city either.
He has a huge mouth and loves slagging off people who have achieved a hundred times more than he has, like Dermot Keely, and Pat Fenlon. And his analysis of soccer is usually banal 'the goalie should really be doing better than that' sort of stuff.
Why should anyone pay any heed to what he has to say about politics.
I did say on a domestic level at least.
He's a waffler, he's a spoofer and he's a flip flopping hypocrite. He moans about loyalty within the game. He should tell that to the fans of Dublin City FC (rip) and that Maltese club he 'managed'.

Good to see people like Roddy Collins turning to Sinn Fein...They are a party on the move and must attract support from people from all backgrounds if they are to be the next government...There may be light in the tunnell after all !
Well if I were the all-rulling master of Sinn Féin, I'd much rather have the support and patronage of genuine human beings that are in touch with reality and removed from their own via-anal passage view point then resorting to inviting the likes of Roddy Collins on board.
