This decision will alienate a large percentage of middle class Green voters. The Greens appear to have sold out on core principles such as opposition to co-location and use of Shannon Airport.
Whither Government policy on incineration?
The PDs have served as FF's mudguard. Now the Greens will fill this role.
As the economic storm clouds gather the [color=darkblue]WACKY[/color] coalition will probably sunder on the rocks of public expenditure cuts. How will the Greens deal with issues such as nurses pay?
FG and Labour will mop up disaffected Green support. The opposition can now consolidate. A change of Government is inevitable in 2012. A vote for the Greens is now a vote for FF.
The Green party has ignored the wishes of Green voters as distinct from the wishes of its members. It is on the road to destruction. All unpopular environmental decisions will be blamed on the Greens.
There will be a honeymoon period for the new Government. This will disappear as as the economy founders.
