    RTE Protecting Sinn Fein?

I had a look at Aertel thismorning and the was a story about the police in NI arresting a 'senior republican', presumably on the average industrial wage, relating to organised crime.

Alex Maskey, a SF member of the Policing Board is furious and is going to make a complaint to the British Government about the police. He doesn't seem too annoyed that members of his party may be invloved in organised crime (what a shocker that would be ).

I checked in at teatime to see if there was any more details and the story has been deleted.

Is this not an important story for those considering voting for SF?

It's the attitude of Alex Maskey I was more concerned about. I thought SF had decided to support the police. And RTE delete the story!

The same man has been arrested on various occassions and but they've never been able to frame him like they're attempting to do so again today. If RTE dropped the story it's probably because there's nothing to it as always.

OK but if he's innocent of anything he'll be found innocent in due course. Why does Alex Maskey create such a stink over this?

RTÉ hate Sinn Féin, if they have dirt on them, they'll report it.

Perhaps the peelers were heavy handed like they have been in dealing with this man and his family in the past.
