Hey Merle, do you think they might even loose one ? per chance ?

theres a distinct possibility , but dont quote me on it . Wouldnt want to make a political prediction that turned out to be hilariously wide of the mark

One good thing about this lack of advance for Sinn Féin, in my own view, is that given the fact that the membership didn't ask the leadership to halt their tracks at the Ard-Fheis on british policing, at least the Irish electorate have given them something to think about. That is no bad thing for people who have got used to winning too much lately.
Id suggest that people look at the reactions of certain provisionals like factual,st33ve,brenners,caractacus towards republican candidates after the stormont election if anyone feels even the slightest bit sorry for them.

Love to know what you base this on because if anything Aengus will increase his vote % on 2002 that was 12.4% or their abouts to at least 15%. So not a hope of any struggle here. Take my word on it.

I'd say about 4. Last one on the 10th count.

How many seats will SF win?

Personally I think 10 would be the minimum and anything less would be a disappointment.

They will hold all five they currently have and I think they will add the following T.D.'s:

    Mary Lou
    Dessie Ellis
    Padraig MacLochlann
    Pearse Doherty; and
    Larry O'Toole.

With a bit of luck they could easily add Sean McManus, Joanne Spain and Joe Reilly and with a lot of luck they could get one from Jonathan O'Brien, David Cullinane, John Dwyer, Brian Stanley.

Are there any other constituencies that they might sneak one in on a good day?

How many seats do you think they'll get???[/quote]
