Sinn Féin and Cannabis, a question.

Does anybody on these forums know what is the policy of Sinn Féin in regard to the legalisation/decriminalisation of Cannabis Sativa and its cultivars and derivatives for a) medical and b) recreational use?

The official party position is that the party does not support the legalisation or decriminalisation of cannibas

Shinners want to crack down on cannabis so that more people will buy the heroin that Mary Lou makes in her kitchen from the finest Afghan opium poppies.

A devilishly fiendish plan which they have heretofore hidden from the Evening Herald.

Well no longer. Mary Lou: J'Accusé!!

I did see a decent article in An Poblacht arguing for decriminalisation a couple of years ago, but it was clearly a debating point rather than party policy.

Unfortunately I would imagine they now hold the same non-thinking stance on drugs as all the other parties... but I could be wrong.
