    Killian Forde

A bright young thing I haven't heard anything from in a while.

Will he be coopted as an MEP when Mary-Lou goes into the Dail?

    That's supposed to happen.
The word 'politics' is derived from the word 'poly', meaning 'many', and the word 'ticks', meaning 'blood sucking parasites

He's probably keeping his fingers crossed Larry O'Toole doesn't get through this time in Dublin North East.
Nothing will motivate the lazy / apathetic / Americanised / west-British types to embrace their culture and the Irish language.

Is he giving her a help out with the canvassing?
Dan Sullivan. I was back but we still couldn't all have a vote.

No, when you become an MEP you nominate a person to take your seat if you die or leave for a real job *cough* as undemocratic as that seems.

I think he's her nominated person

Is it not that all candidates have a list of registered substitutes to cover such situations?

    It is.

I can't remember the name of the guy who comes after Forde on the list, but he's a prominent Shinner (I think from HQ, but not sure) who was involved in writing that big new finance policy they put out a year or two ago.
