that's an unbelievably stupid comment to make Trinity .. who alluded to the fact that anyone was proud of what Martin did.. least of all Martin himself

don't get into that argument action. It was drink driving.. it wasn't drunken driving as legislated for.

action 16 seems to think if he did pass the test merits a "Good man Martin"

I don't think so. Zero tolerance on drink and drug driving is the only way to move forward on this. The man was driving with drink on him. I have nothing against Ferris. I would say the same regardless of party. I have been impacted severly by this issue, and i don't think that just about tweeking under the limit deserves any sort of accolade.

He probably stuck an Armalite in the Garda's Face who was doing the test - or threatened to have him Knee Capped.

I agree with you there Trinity, but as has already been explained on other threads, you cannot have a zero limit regarding alcohol, as some other sources can give an alcohol reading when tested (sherry trifles, mouthwash etc).

Therefore, the legislature sets down what it believes to be a "safe" limit.

If action is correct, then Martin Ferris was within the "safe" limit at the time of testing.

There really cannot be any other issue under the law. If you think their is, then suggest to your party, that they make a policy to reduce the legal limit to 10-15 mg per 100 ml
