If action is correct, then Martin Ferris was within the "safe" limit at the time of testing.

There really cannot be any other issue under the law. If you think their is, then suggest to your party, that they make a policy to reduce the legal limit to 10-15 mg per 100 ml
We shall see what the outcome is. No proof as of yet whether he has passed or not

I don't think so. Zero tolerance on drink and drug driving is the only way to move forward on this. The man was driving with drink on him. I have nothing against Ferris. I would say the same regardless of party. I have been impacted severly by this issue, and i don't think that just about tweeking under the limit deserves any sort of accolade.
No law broken here. The man is as innocent as yourself.

Yes something seems strange. Did he not practically admit he was drinking himself when he apologised? He would not have done so was it just one pint.

why not Riadach.. he admitted having one glass of wine, and two pints of beer over a 7 hour period if my memory serves me correct. Given the bodys ability to dispense of alcohol, its highly likely that he proved negative.

There seems to be some issue around the fact that he was arrested at the time, which some people believes confers guilt, but again IIRC he wasn't, he merely went to the station with the Gardai as he was unable to provide a breath sample due to his asthma

Ah get over it people, its obviously just another opportunity for opposition parties to get some cheap shots in!

Just look at some of the antics by Finna Fial members over recent years, an absolute disgrace!
So when are these so called intellectuals going to make their mind up???
