Equality — It is new strung and shall be heard
Do you include the people the likes of Bobby Sands wanted to murder (& did) when you remember him or is that not allowed?
I'm just awaiting the usual ******************************************s (who like to parade around with Poppies to commemorate those who were force feed into the meat grinders at flanders etc) to start with the nasty comments and jokes.
You know the type, worthless fools, who actually like the idea of being subservient to a race that still promotes the notion that some people, because they all still manage to intermarry into the same limited gene pool, are in some way 'noble'.
I think Bobby's detracters are scared of people like him. People who honestly see a higher value to their lives than can be tacked on with a price tag. Like the saying goes, they are shopkeepers, with shopkeepers mentality - they know the price of everything and the value of nothing. People like Bobby rock their worldview and they have to denegrate him with cheap and nasty smears, call him mad, loony, make jokes about the cells, the clothing, the smell and the discomfort. I think in Bobby Sands you can see th basic differences between those who lean to the left and those who lean to the right. A right winger rarely sacrifices their own lives - their talents lie in how they try to make the notion of sending other peoples sons and daughters to their deaths a virtue with such sentiments as how they have the 'courage' to make the difficult decisions......BS of the highest quality methinks?
Its not difficult to sacrifice the lives of others when you care little for said lives in the first place. Only those who produce wealth have a value to them.
I am not going to stand here and defend the IRA or their campaign - I dont condone violence or killing, but something in those brave men who gave their lives for that which they knew to be right, the right to decide their own destinies,, outshines any of the tawdry, cheap messages we get from their detractors.
Rest in peace Bobby, the time of the laughter of the children is not yet here, but its coming. Its coming because some people had the courage to put down the gun and talk when all others sneered at them.
Its not here yet, but its coming.
Rest well.
If I could mass-sterilise the planet, I would. Seriously.

What a load of bollox - Bobby Sands was a terrorist. If he had had any brains he would be no different to the Muslims nutters of today who think there is nothing wrong with a bomb going off and killing woman and children and innocent men and people in a shopping market just as he would have thought nothing about killing a UK soildier doing their job and in the end the likes of Sands achieved nothing and it was only when Sinn Fein realised it could never win a terror war that it gave up and started to talk. Sure it could bomb the UK and kill people but that would never lead to the British leaving. It just prolonged Ulster being a poor ************************hole the British didn't want and the southern Irish didn't want and probably still don't if they are honest.
Bobby Sands is no Nelson Mandela.
The biggest murderers in the history of this world are the British Army.
The only terrorists on this island are the British who rule with terror.
If you don't want to commemorate Bobby I suggest you stop posting on this thread.
