Toireasa Ferris is Gaza bound

According to one of the local papers in Kerry Cllr Toireasa Ferris is joining the next Gaza flotilla. It states that she was flying out that day (Thursday) to Syria (yes, those peace lovin' Syrians) to join the flotilla and that she will be the only Irish politician with this attempt to break the Israeli blockade of Gaza.

I wonder what people in the world outside of Ireland would make of this alleged 'peace activist' if they saw her performance on that infamous Late Late interview. I was looking for it on youtube but could not seem to locate it. Does anyone else know where it is located?

- and stand beside the Muslim People there battling the Indian Occupation?

Or go to Chechen capital Grozny and hold a protest against the Russians?

Or to Xinjiang Province to free the local Muslims from the Chinese Yoke?

Really bad idea. She's just handing a propaganda coup to the Israelis and their American supporters. If she really cares about the Gazan people she'll knock this one on the head.

My guess would be this is more SF seeking foreign support in the Arab world than SF offering support to Gaza. And possibly Ms Ferris thinking of her own party career - think Ruane and bird watchers.

Might backfire though if it damages SF standing with the Americans especially the Americans of Irish descent.
