He just can't bring himself to give up criminality, can he?

I suppose he could argue that he was just reflecting the norms and behaviour of the boyracer element of his vote, which is significant. I had a personal experience of Martin's driving skills (or the lack therefore) at the time of the 1997 election when I was postering for FG when he can around a bad bend at speed on the backroads out in Ballymac, Martin nearly ran over another person and I. He did not even slow down or look back!Originally Posted by FakeViking

SF's Ferris suspected of drink-driving

The Sinn Féin TD for Kerry North, Martin Ferris has confirmed to RTÉ News that he was arrested on suspicion of drink-driving early today.
Mr Ferris was arrested in Ardfert Village in north Kerry at around 2am this morning.
He was subsequently taken to Tralee Garda Station where he gave a sample which will be sent for analysis.
AdvertisementThe result will determine whether or not he is prosecuted.
Mr Ferris told RTÉ that he would be making a statement through the Sinn Féin press office later today.
As a public representative he should, if convicted, face the maximum possible penalty. But GV and Dr McDaid got off lightly, will the same apply to Ferris?
