Redcilous thread imo. Adams is evangelical in his support for equal rights for all. He attends mass (which is anti gay and anti womens rights) that doesnt mean he agrees with their stance. In a world which is inherently anti human rights, be it for gender, sexuality, race, religion etc we all need to try and educate and try to change these views! Gerry had definately gone beyond the beyond and imo is a beacon for any section of society to claim their right to exist and to be respected at every level!

I don't believe for one moment that Adams is anti-gay or anti-women but I do think that he needs to be more careful. Local representatives have boycotted the event and venue in question because of the discriminatory attitudes and his decision to attend does undermine their stance. Would you take such a benign view if it was Brian Cowan - or indeed if it was a venue that banned Jews or African-Americans?
