eh how am I responsible for anything Sinn Fein does ? All opinion is a spin put on the facts. You are very opinionated it seems. You single out SF for your own reasons. Frankly I am not surprised by anything any political party does. All of them behave exactly the same and similar examples can be found with some searching. The whole world is guilty of something via similar logic. We buy oil from Saudi Arabia and trade with China. We invest in those countries and encourage them to invest in us. Our government and the government of our neighbours does exactly the same. Maybe we shouldn't however this does not mean we support their human rights abuses.

Redcilous thread imo. Adams is evangelical in his support for equal rights for all. He attends mass (which is anti gay and anti womens rights) that doesnt mean he agrees with their stance. In a world which is inherently anti human rights, be it for gender, sexuality, race, religion etc we all need to try and educate and try to change these views! Gerry had definately gone beyond the beyond and imo is a beacon for any section of society to claim their right to exist and to be respected at every level!

Adams was therefore in good company, counting bishops, archbishops, priests, and popes amongst those who bar women, gays, but accept child abusers in their ranks!

I am so proud of him, having clawed his way up from the gutter to join such distinguished and powerful men. God, is there no end to the hypocrisy of this site's members?

Justice? Oh please. And kindly remember that you are not texting members, but "writing" to them in English. Or is the English language so above your head that you think Adams represents "justice"!

I agree......Like all our patriot/leaders of the past Adams will always feel the wrath of those who want to cling on to their Britishness......He has managed to do what no other leader of Irish Republicanism has done in the past and that is to bring the entire movement with him in his search for the final solution '' the good Friday agreement'' which is really an interim solution which will / may bring about the eventual unity of our country but can his detractors offer a better way forward....I doubt if the can.
