He has presence when he's there and absence when he's not.
I think he is poor enough on air and he looks like an even smaller willie o'dea with yon moustache. The very idea of him as president causes me to think I have strayed into the humour section but it's not funny.

    Out of Bunreacht na hEireann

ii. by the Councils of not less than four administrative Counties (including County Boroughs) as defined by law.

Does that rule out councils in the 6 counties?

    Just wondering.

I think Toiresa Ferris should be the SF candidate for President

Ah now, if that were how it worked, then "the Supreme Court" could be the one in Washington DC!

The populace will decide if SF will have enough representatives or not. She is a good representative of the party and spoke well at the Ard Fheis.

so she's popular amongst her own, fecking shocking that is there is far more a chance of David Norris winning the presidency than there is of any shinner including adams let alone ms ferris.... the vast majority of the populace are simply not interested in sf, and what they stand for

They are probably not "defined by law", given that they are outside the State. Before the GFA, you could possibly have argued that they were part of the national territory.

However, it would be interesting what the reaction would be if they tried it.
