Gerry Adams to focus on economic and social

Gerry Adams will focus on Irish economic and political woes in his address today.

BBC News - Gerry Adams prepares Sinn Fein conference address
RTÉ News: Sinn Féin Ard Fheis resuming in Dublin

Gerry Adams' speech will be televised live at 8.30 PM on RTE tonight.

Hopefully this will give SF a boost in the polls.

And Factual is mostly likely not even at the RDS.There are likely to be several threads on the SF Ard Fheis in the next few days, please dont respond to a fraud like Factual as he is not representative of opinion within SF.

I would say to all watching Gerry Adams speech later on to pay attention to the response he gets from the audience and compare it to other years.

A boost in the polls is gained from working on the ground and setting out policy not on a Leaders speech.

And what FF/FG know about economics could fit on the top of a pin. Good God man, look at the state of the country these idiots in FF/FG have left it in. This after 80 years.

I would have thought the failure of Sinn Féin to rule out coalition with Fianna Fáil or Fine Gael after the next election was a major own goal. Any party of the left worth its salt should be running a mile from either of these parties, then again if they can stomach the DUP as a coalition partner they must be inured to it.

The thing is SF would not be a lackie for either FG/FF if in Govrnment and they both know this. The SF Party would act like a watchdog to the voters and both main Parties are weary of that as SF would not be pushed around like the Greens and the PD's..

And that's what the PDs and the Greens said when they were offered the poisened Chalice.

The Leadeship of SF are motivated by just the same visceral desires as any of the other Parties
