There is always an element of "churn" in all political parties.

This is a hard blow for SF the successful strategy they have up north ain't working down south. So they need to think again.

I would argue that it is both, the churn is a result of a series of individual one offs occuring over time. All parties experience churn.

I think that is to read WAY too much into it.

Anyway I wish him well. The Labour party contains many good people, with good values.

It's not just 1 departure since last June this is number 3 councillor I think on the city council. If SF keep putting their heads in the sand and isolate each departure as an isolated incident things will get worse rather than better, There might not be a common reason for the departures but there has to be some common underlying causes.

Thats some amount of casulties. How many more to follow?

I really don't think SF leadership care too much about what happens in the 26 as long as they become top dog in the north over the next number of years.

SF desperately need new leadership that can inspire confidence in ALL of Ireland. Adams and McGuinness the celebrity leadership team need to relinquish some of their power at the very least.
