Strange how none of his defenders want to comment on his astonishing claim that he was talking to the police Ifor.

Let us hope that the 10% 'disappeared' in West Belfast constituency fared better than the unfortunate Mrs McConville.
Turn over the stones and you see that the SF elite don't give a damn about equality.
On Friday when the votes were counted Mr Adams received the best election results ever,It is not many politicians can claim such vindication of their work after each election,
I have no doubt with those result Mr Adams will continue to have that support for years to come,
I suggest you go back to Slugger and read through the thread in question. You will find that the blogger's statistics (he is an ex-member of both Sinn Féin and éirígí) are debunked by Nicolas Whyte, a psephologist and former Alliance Party candidate who runs this site:
Northern Ireland Elections
whatever you think of the man, the people in his community still support him as their representative!!
I went to the site in question, and don't believe he has debunked anything.
Adams' share of the vote has remained the same, but nearly half the electorate never bothered to vote.
West Belfast also had the highest number of spoilt papers of any constituency - hardly a ringing endorsement.
Further comment:
The most remarkable result from Thursday’s general election here in Northern Ireland was the fact that our turnout was among the lowest in the United Kingdom. Turnout was just 57% across all 18 constituencies.
But in certain constituencies – such as Gerry Adams’ West Belfast – it slumped to the low 50s. Moreover, as pointed out by Mark McGregor over on Slugger, West Belfast seems to have lost large swathes of electorate. Adams was elected by an electorate that has shrunk – as a result of non-registration – where only half of registered voters bothered to turn out, and many of those spoiled their votes. So Adams was elected by just one third of registered voters – the rest have given up even trying to participate in the political process.
