i think to re invent the party as competitive we shouldn't preset the vote our make decisions in advance of the ard fheis but i think it would excite the party and others who would be supportive of sf but see it as a closed shop. i would be inclined for o snodaigh and i think he is keen. is the party going to be keen to it.

Ógra are getting a new Natioanl Organiser and he is a Cork man so maybe the trend should continue and Jonathan O'Brien for party leader
The coal company came with the worlds largest shovel, they took all the timber and stripped all the land. They dug for their coal till the land was forsaken and they wrote it all down as the progress of man.

I think Sinn Fein are primed for a leadership change in the next couple of years. However it will not be until after a General Election when hopefully some of their new blood will be elected. At the moment O'Caolainn is the only TD who would be a suitable leader. In the aftermath of an election and if they get elected, Toireassa Ferris, Pearse Doherty, Padraig MacLochlainn and Mary Lou MacDonald would be seen as contenders for leadership. However it would be unwise to push them too early as they will need a chance to secure their seats and gain parliamentary experience. I think O'Caolainn could become leader with Conor Murphy as deputy leader. Then after a few years one of the mentioned above will take over.

Hmm I think SF is about to become very relevant to the lives of southern voters. They are quietly going about their community getting things done on a community level that makes peoples lives that little bit easier. And it feeds right into the 'me fein' attitude of the Irish people.

Martina Anderson is the stand out candidate for the leadership whenever the time comes, in my humble opinion.

I think what is needed is a leader from the 26 counties. If the party is to move on and develop as a 32 county party a leader needs to come from the south. Our foot is well established in the north but we need to improve in the south

As it is SF are an all island party and the majority of its inflluence is in the North, there is little point in denying any of that. SF have to appeal to people who regard a UI as something they want and as such view a northern leader as of secondary importance.

As Sinn Fein is an All Ireland party I think it is the best person who needs to be the Leader and not where they are from at counts!
