    Words From A Soldier

This is what was said to me by one of the 38 escapees and a member of the Irish Republican Army. I wanted to share this with you as he said it with such heart felt passion. He said he did not care if I posted his name, he suggests anyone wanting to substantiate this, to go research him and his articles on the internet.

I have fought this war all of my life, I was interned at 17, spent most of my life behind the wire. How many of you were in the SAME cell with one of the strikers watching him die, how many of you had a comrade die by yer side, how many of you have had yer comrades brains splattered all over your face, how many of you suffered brutal torture at the hands of the brits, how many of you lived a life OTR? How many of you even fought this war, gave an oath to the people of Ireland. . . . we were an army for the people!!!! I was a soldier for the people, it is the peoples voice I stand accountable to and until the PEOPLE SAY DIFFERENTLY, I fully without reservations stand behind the decision made by Sinn Féin representing the people of the republican movement. Once the people have spoken it is over, it is the will of the people, what are you trying to do now. . . make it a dictatorship? I stand behind the leadership and the people of Ireland 100%

Whilst the words are poignant, I don't think we need another thread on policing.
