As if things aren't bad enough on the Korean Peninsula, Halligan wants to meet Kim Jong Un

Is there any end to the suffering of a broken people? This will go down as one of the funniest suggestions this decade. A Junior minister from an impoverished and isolated state believes he can negotiate world peace between 2 bizarre Presidents with Mullets.

Other than sharing a strange hairdo with Trump and Kim. What is there for Halligan to bring to the party?

They'll be breaking their hearts laughing at this suggestion in Pyongyang, that's for sure.

'What is there to lose?': John Halligan wants to go to North Korea to spark peace talks

Can we not send Gimmiemore instead ?

    For old time sake.

The Frank Ross Faction can run a print of US dollars for the fare.

There might even be a field outside a village that needs a new school site for the Missus to provide a deal on.

That's a bit extreme, there are a few worthwhile bits of Waterford that may well be collateral damage if we did that.

    Good Luck with that!

    He wont get in though

    - or if does he would not get to meet Dear Leader in anything other than a completely stage-managed affair

    - and get 'Field Guidance' on how Ireland can be as Great as the Democratic Republic of Korea!

It's good to see politicians with their fingers on the pulse of the nation. They speak of little else in Skibereen.

Halligan fancies himself as a saviour figure since his sermon on the favelas.
