    I disagree.
The statesmanship of Mr Halligan has already had significant global consequences.

Jesus. I misunderstood the OP. I thought it was Ursula Halligan of TV3.

Ursula - 'What can be done to ease the tensions between N Korea and the US?'

Kim - 'u rike eat pussy.. u resbian lug muncher'.

I think its an excellent proposal, especially if the U.S. were to impose a "no fly" zone around North Korea while they are there.

It's weird times when it's POTUS who seems more unhinged and dangerous than the leader of NK...

I've no problem with anyone making efforts to try and ease tensions... including Halligan or anyone else...

We do precious little other than excusing ourselves from everything due to our precious neutrality... so I've no problem with this even if it does prove to be a futile exercise.

    No harm in trying... imo.

The suggestion, in the middle of a major rail dispute, that Shane Ross, Minister for Transport, would go off to North Korea in a bizarre attempt to establish relations with a regime that has an appalling record on human rights, where the word democracy is banned, is nothing short of dumbfounding.
