THE PDs face the nightmare prospect of losing half of their eight Dail seats in next year's general election. The party's first electoral priority is to hold on to its existing seats, but it is also currently trying to head-hunt prominent candidates to bolster its team. Of its eight TDs, Tanaiste Mary Harney in Dublin Mid West, Justice Minister Michael McDowell in Dublin South East and Liz O'Donnell in Dublin South are likely to hang on.
