Wow, of all of the PD policies, this is a strange one to praise.

Of course the 'old' way was lula. I can remember many nights waiting hours in the rain for a cab, and don't want to return to that system.

But the current system is equally lula. Drive down Dawson St on a Friday night, you'll need shades to shield you from all the yellow lights.

And it was entirely predictable that it would end up like this. Complete deregulation always leads to chaos.

All that was need was a few thousand extra taxis. They didn't need to go whole hog and make it impossible for drivers to earn a decent living. But then again in PD world, supply and demand solves everything

She won't, but if she did offer to join FG, the welcome that George Lee received would pale in comparison to the one that would be extended to the finest Irish politician of her generation.
Harney is a thatcherite who implements neo-liberal policies, Richard Bruton is a thatcherite who wants to implement neo-liberal policies. Of course he admires her.

It's because of that sort of attitude that your party was despised by ordinary people.

Mary Coughlan would sympathise with him, since she knows what its like to take the blame for a mess largely of Harney's making.
The fact that McDowell was a blatantly evil man didn't help.

Yep, Ireland bankrupt, their work is done, they can slouch off the political stage quietly now. Their friends in banking and business have carried off the national wealth.

This is sounding like a eulogy.

And the bad news is that Harney has set her sights on McCreevy's Euro gravytrain spot. What do we have to do to get rid of this shyster? Revolution?

It would take at least TWO Euro gravytrains to accommodate Harney's fat rump.

So when do I lose my avatar?

So Mr Cochran, do I get to lose my avatar or will we poor, sad deluded one's be allowed this last, sentimental gesture of proudly wearing our badge with honour even though we are now homeless and doomed to wander the world like lost warriors of the Ideology Wars?
