    Which one?

Chinese? North Korean? Vietnamese ? Russian ? Uzbekistan ?

They ALL purport to be 'communist'.

Raul Castro is embarassed to say he's a 'communist'.

By the way, if such a manifesto does exist (so does Santa!)....did you write it?

Because I asked YOU to write YOUR manifesto instead of crticising someone who made an effort.

You're not familiar with one of the most famous political manifestos (not that I agree fully with its hypothesis!) ever written?? That's like asking if the Bible exists!!

    You misinterpret me.

I've read 11 different 'Communist' manifestos; and they are all different because they reflected the 'ambience' of the country they represented.
I was given a present of the Little Red Book, by a former 'communist' because of my irreverence to Maoist theory.

Julius Nyerere said he was a 'communist' when seeking aid from China; but, he was a 'socialist' when seeking aid from Europe.

At least the Bible is not fiction and will continue having followers....and its teaching is as 'communist' as you'll get.

Being mocked or laughed at comes with the territory.I remember well the day i got a bucket of paint, when i was teenager and went out and started painting walls in my estate and being pelted with muck balls.....

The point i was making was that Fluffy is asking, imo, all the right questions-

Fluffybiscuits-'That last paragraph is very relevant. i suppose we need to look at two things. Firstly we need to look at Marx and Trotsky in a modern context and see what we can learn. How do they all fall into modern society? What is the equivelant of peasents and the proleteriat in modern day Ireland.'

Now,I'd wager my last 20 euro that those in the IDP are all,or most of them are,in debt with the banks. They have mortgages which they can't pay.As far as i can see,the 'Marxists' have been caught on the hop again,as 'Capitalism' has already begun to recover, via groups like 'we the citizens',and the 'lefties' still can't define the 'equivelant of peasents and the proleteriat in modern day Ireland.'-So the 'Marxists' revert to type-ie-lets protest about 'water-charges','E100.00' Household Tax',which are commendable things to protest about, but it still doesn't define the 'working class' in a modern context that is relevent to today.

Who are todays peasants and proletariat? We have no large scale 'working class union',as we have no large Industry-Connolly organized the Dockers, because they were one of the largest groups of the 'proletariat',not because it was kool-Who are the largest group of the 'proletariat' in todays Ireland? What's the most common denominator? The answer is actually so simple it beggars belief that none of the 'left' groups have been able to identify it.....with the exception of 'one' or 'two' groups....

It is unfortunate to see that this brief movement floundered.
