    New constituency mystery FF candidate

Kerry North-West Limerick FF celebrity candidate

    via PA newswire
    11 May 2009

Fianna Fail party official Nuala Na Phoca moved to quash rumours that a celebrity candidate has signalled an intention to run in the constituency of Kerry North/West Limerick on the incumbent Fianna Fail ticket.

"I don't know where the communists get their information. Probably from somewhere abroad messing about with foreigners," Ms Na Phoca, 57, raged at a press conference with local media representatives at a hotel in Dingle last night.

Gathered journalists appeared taken aback at the vehemence displayed by the long-standing party offiicial, one senior scribe interrupting Ms Na Phoca to recommend that she 'take it easy'.

The meeting dissolved in chaoswith local Garda Siochana Sergeant Martie Kemp seizing a bucket of fish that Ms Na Phoca had threatened to dump on anyone doubting 'the word of Fianna Fail in this town'.

Party officials in Dublin remain tight-lipped about the affair with one senior official confiding off the record that Ms Na Phoca 'had not been right for some time.'

No confirmation is expected of the party's candidate until after the forthcoming local and european elections but some photographs were leaked to the Kerry Advertiser; Places to visit on the Dingle Peninsula, Ireland

Who is the most popular celebrity from the Dingle Peninsula in the last 20 years? The story does seem somewhat fishy but Fianna Fail are desperate enough to try anything at the moment...

Funghi is putting on the green jersey? Mind you, with an IQ treble that of the Tanaiste, Funghi would have a vaild claim for a Cabinet post.

Nothing will motivate the lazy / apathetic / Americanised / west-British types to embrace their culture and the Irish language.

Apparently Funghi is in favour of a privatisation project and is promising to put forward a plan which entails subdividing Dingle Bay into sections re-zoned from 'sea use' to 'food-water A3 use' which means we all get the opportunity to invest in prime 'oceanland' on which we can water-build.

Funghi has modestly offered to uphold the traditions of Fianna Fail financial rectitude by patrolling underwater to ensure our fish stocks are safe.

Yahow-ya-boyyah, Funghi for Planning Commissioner. He's thinking of getting married.

'Clicketty-click,' he tells the Kerry Advertiser. 'Carry on political public service in family ... clicketty ... whistle ... whole pod just waiting to carry on Dadda's selfless service to State .. whistle, clicketty click.'
