Is Cllr Noel Bourke in a state of paralysis or just shocked at seeing something as technically advanced as a modern television camera? His mouth is left open wide for the entire time the clip was recorded with a dazed look in his eyes!The younger fella beside D.D.P.'s arm which is holding the mic is Stephen Mather, Secretary of the Offaly Comhairle Dailcheantair and the guy beside him is his auld lad Tom. But in fairness Steve left us and was sitting up at the very back with his father who didn't have a ticket to the reserved seating area at the front.
The two guys over his other shoulder are Cllr. John Foley. T.C. (with the beard) and Cllr. Noel Bourke M.C.C. (white hair and glasses). Who ran like the clappers from the front area after Brian's speech to get their mugs on da telly, nearly broke themselves up in the process - very funny! (Donnie Cassidy school of P.R.)
All are hoping to be selected for the locals sometime soon.

And that John Foley incident was indeed hilarious.
