"May your God go with you". He was my first encounter with Atheism. As a kid in the 70s, (when we still said the Rosary, daily, as a family) to watch his late night show was almost rebellious. Away ahead of his time.

Ehhhm, the second guy is a slight bit younger in all fairness. Give it time. Maybe he'll be hit by a bus tomorrow, we can only hope.

What a true legend, may he rest in peace.
I enjoyed his shows allright.
But all I can remember now is that he was both funny and serious during his shows and not your typical Paddy entertainer by any means. An Irishman the Brits took seriously along with the laughter.

I am sorry to hear about this. Hopefully we might get to see some of the shows again now though.
Very sad. He was a true original both Irish & British comedy owe him a debt of gratitude. His influence is still very evident in many acts and shows today. He was a real class act.
