    Biffo Cowan and jingle Bells

Just saw a clip at the end of the news some minutes ago where Biffo and Co joined in a singsong singing Jingle Bells. In the 10 seconds or so of the clip did I see him look at the words of the song three times or did I see him look at the words of the song three times. At that stage the song had not progressed beyong "Jingle bells, jingle bells, jingle all the way"

Someone has to get this onto Youtube. It has to be one of the most ridiculous thing I've ever seen. Mary Harney and Dick "Stick em Up" Roche singing Jingle Bells!! And Cowan standing there in the same suit he wore to Dublin Castle to announce the end of the world! All of them faces like thunder. Like some freakish show Kim Jong Il or Nicolae Ceauceacu would have put on, replete with singing children and flashing lights. High farce.

Cringingly awful. Who wants to see unpopular govt ministers pretending to be merry.

We're in a hole. Let us enjoy our Christmases in private. The govt has nothing to contribute to seasonal goodwill.

It's as true as the country is sinking faster than the Titanic
