Shock Horror: A minister receives some praise

It does not happen that often these days but a minister is getting some credit: It may come as a surprise but the recipient is Simon Coveney, who has been applauded for his work at EU fisheries negotiation.
Full story at Fishing groups praise work of minister - RT News.

Is he our most talented minister?

Seems well able. Credit where credit is due. (I wonder how many advisers he has and are they paid within the pay cap?)

Why did Minister Phil Hogan drop the independent review into planning irregularities within Dublin and Cork city councils and Carlow, Meath, Galway and Cork county councils ?

If that isn't the definition of daming with faint praise, then I don't know what is.

The Mahon Tribunal found Olivia Mitchell to have received an inappropriate payment from Frank Dunlop at the time of the 1992 Election. F.G. Gael has taken no action against her.

That's brilliant, cod are becoming an endangered species and RTÉ gives air time to the fishermen's lobby yet again to cheer on more fishing.
