    Mary Hanafin Acceptance Speech???

Just wondering did anyone see Mary Hanafin's acceptance speech after she was elected, firstly she thanked her team, she congratulated all of the other successful candidates, but then she went on to say, "I would like to thank everyone from this planet."

    Now, this raises three questions:

    1. What planet is she from that she thanked everyone from this planet?
    2. Where did she canvess?
    3. Who or what voted for her?

Mary was very emotional as she was missing her late husband. She is one of the finest talents in Irish politics. And I thought her planet remark was quite witty.

Think she has an outstanding chance of being a future leader of FF

That's wit now? She could at least have thrown in an Oscar Wilde quote. Something about the consituency being the last refuge of the unimaginative, maybe.

And Mary lives on Planet Bertie, of course.

Damn she let it slip. Well I might as well elaborate; Our next aim in Fianna Fáil is world domination. We figure that as Fine Gael just doesn't pose a challange for us anymore we might as well spread our wings and bring the Fianna Fáil message worldwide.

leave the poor woman alone - winning a seat must be extremely emotional.

I know Mary Hanifin is ambitious, but is world domination taking it a bit far. Perhaps she should start by reducing class sizes, giving proper education to autistic children, and building some schools in Dublin suburbs. She might move on to an overall majority in the Dail when that is finished....

Well neither she nor the FF backbencher (what's his name?) canvassed my area other two glossy leaflet drops! Even FOM did more than that!

And after tonight's Primetime (on ABA, her nemisis) she's lost more support, she's a Minister for Teachers, no more!
