Something makes me think FK that even if both of them spent hours speaking with you it wouldn't have got a vote. Anyway they must have done something right, herself and Barry Andrews (the other guy) increased the vote by 5% and were elected to the first and second seat respectively. Not a bad achievement by any shape or form.

In relation to this Backbencher, his name is Barry Andrew FYI, he has been canvassing every weekend for the past 5 ywars. Since April he has canvassed every day in the DL constituency.

I live just off Newtown park Avenue, I have never been canvassed by Gilmore, Regan, Cuffe, Barret or Bailey. Ive had leaflets from FOM and Quinn, Barry A is the only one to canvass.

What we learn from this is that candidates canvass as much as they can. They cannot visiti every area in the constit.

That's a bit of a presumption, as well as being a bit silly.

I was there for the speech, and I thought that it was quite good. She was delighted to have topped the poll, and nearly all of the TDs' speeches were heartfelt and, at times, not quite so polished. (I say "nearly" due to Sean Barrett...)

I don't think there's any presumption or silliness about my comment as a photograph of her crying has been all over the papers

Apologies, the silliness point I withdraw, but I do think that it's a presumption to put every slight unpolished remark she makes down to the loss of her husband.
