I can't explain the immense dislike and irrational hatred that thousands of Irish people have for Cork and its population.

Personally I don't have anything against them. But the amount of people from Donegal right down to Wexford who dislike them is quite high....imo.

Areas such as Natural Resources,Agriculture,Population, location and industry have to be taken into account.

I would argue Cork due to the large agricultural land in the county, big industries in Cork harbour, a decent population and for now at least, gas off the Southern coast.

What do you all think? Any other counties in your view that could make it?
You would say that as a Corkman.
16 years of hurt are over. The Sam Maguire is back in Dublin!

We'd be plenty happy without the gobshítes you send up to Kildare St., too.

The Mahon Tribunal found Olivia Mitchell to have received an inappropriate payment from Frank Dunlop at the time of the 1992 Election. F.G. Gael has taken no action against her.

Hmmm. How about a big incinerator in ringsend and a big desalination plant beside it.

Can anyone say why this is. I find it fascinating.

I heard a few Irish comedians have a go at Cork people too. But I just don't get it.

They said that Cork people like to talk about Cork and it was also implied that they speak funny. Has it anything to do with sport? I don't know anything about sport. Is that another reason?

But yeah, Cork people appear to be the smelly pupil sat alone in the bottom corner of the class for some reason.

The population is more than decent - they're fantastic.

You've got me all misty eyed with a lump in my throat. Sniff.
