The Pleasure of Eccentricity or Why I Love Elections

The balmy days of elections are upon us again exposing us to those wonderful eccentric people with their fantastic ideas and theories. No, not our elected officals but the wildcard candidates and their delightfully ditzy campaigns. The Brits had Lord Sutch and I remember a monstrous performance by one, Francis Stein, in Dun Laoghaire during the 70's. I found thisman's candidacy very interesting. While not completely off the wall, he definitely makes Kerry North and Cork South Central more interesting.

Ah, the NLP. So many candidates in so many elections in so many countries, and they still never got so much as a TC out of it.
And no - the NLP are Johnny-come-Latelies compared to our own all-conquering greatness. They're a perfect example of what happens when hippies try to get political (awaits inevitable display of wit...)
