Seriously, is where the IMF guys are staying the real problem?

Whether you like it or not (and most folks don't), they're here to sort of the big pile of stinking merde created by the traitorous buffoons in this government.

Erm, lots of people here going nuts over this - but has anyone actually checked the prices in the Merrion Hotel these days?

Relatives of mine from Australia stayed in a 5-star city centre hotel recently and said the prices were like a travel lodge. The downside was that the service was like a 0-star (no staff). Welcome to Ireland, where you can have silver service high tea in one of our plushest hotels, as long as you boil the kettle and buy the Mr. Kipling's yourself.

In fact, Mr. Chopra and friends staying in a cheapo 5-star is probably a nice microcosm of the reason they're here: a hubristic trophy hotel from the fake boomtimes now brought to the point that it's competing with Gardiner Street's finest for IMF custom. Cead Mile Failte.

im completly baffled as to why the hell this is meant to be an issue.

i thought joe duffy was going a bit weird banging on about it.

theyre paying for it themselves !

makes a nice fecking change for once considering our lot put the bill to the taxpayer at every opertunity. you could be damn sure they'd be in the four seasons.

in fact you could say straight off the bat the IMF are contributing to the local economy as its bringing in cash that didnt exist in the state before !
