    Dragon's Den - NAMA proposal

Hi Dragon's, my name is Brian L and this is my business partner Brian C.

Our proposal is simple. The Irish banks have borrowed money on the international markets. They have given most of this money to friends of ours who did a bit of construction but are now left with a lot of land and property that is worthless. The cannot therefore pay the banks back.

Our proposal is to buy the assets from the banks at a price near what our friends initially paid, and then wait for the land and property to be worth more than that and sell it at a profit.

I will now pass you to Brian C.

Going forward, the international markets will have faith in the Irish knowledge and smart economies and fields in Offaly will be worth a fortune, going forward.

Anyone care to supply a Dragon's response?

I'm out.... Of here. To Australia.
We need to radically change every system that has enabled the wholesale destruction of the Irish landscape, rural and urban. There is no time for incremental step by step measures. The systems have failed utterly and the only hope for a real recovery requires the rule book to be torn up completely.

Is your business plan based on a guesstimate? I'll pass, thanks.
