    "Stable Economy"

Given the number of earthquakes lately, and given the fact that I was too young to get in ahead of the posse for this whole "Climate change" gig, I was thinking that this is one I want to get in on from day one. It can be our little secret. This is it:
Earthquakes are increasing due to manmade activities!!! Manmade Earthquakes (MME)
Here's the plan: "Science" can back us up saying that (obviously) the more you build on a piece of land the more pressure you exert on it and therefore make it less stable. Hence the incease in techtonic activity.
If there continues to be a high level of earthquakes, we can claim that it's "proof" that we're right, if the level decreases, we can say that there will always be peaks and troughs, but "generally" (say over the last 20 years) the activity is on the rise. Then, and here comes the clever bit, we can TAX the people for living in high density population areas in order to spread the population out and lessen the risk of earthquake. We won't stop people from living in these areas, but we'll make them pay for the privilage. The Governments will go for it as they'll increase the tax take, and we'll all get rich and famous by "raising awareness" and who knows, we could even form a political party or two.

What do you think? Are you with me?
I might have appointed somebody but I appointed them because they were friends, em, not because of anything they had given me..... (Brian Dobson interview with Bertie Ahern, September 27, 2006 )

Think I'll pass, Marcos. No offence, though.
