Cosy arrangements and stitch ups? That's a bit rich coming from SIPTU given how they were de facto members of McCreevy's government

And what about all the meetings that took place that were not recorded - on golf courses, at race meetings etc. Recall the cosy chat Biffo had with Drumm and meal after, of course nothing only chit chat took place !

according his diary which has been released under a Freedom of Information request.
FoI by whom ? Childers ? SIPTU ? Released to whom ? There's a half decent story in there somewhere but you wouldn't guess it from a dry-as-dust press release like this.

For once, I actually agree with you.

SIPTU have an agenda, and it became government policy under their chum, Bertie Ahern.

These meetings prove again the need for a mandatory and effective register of lobbyists in Ireland, and also the need for all Ministers to publish the meetings online. We need transparency around who is lobbying our Ministers and for what they are lobbying.
Thankfully Fianna Fáil have proposed just such legislation... now that they're in opposition and aren't actually being lobbied by vested interests anymore.

Breathing new life into Fianna Fáil is like breathing new life into the Black and Tans.
