which candidates will be unemployed after the election if they fail to gain office ?

btw, George Lee on Newstalk (just now) stated again that his job with RTE is gone, he further stated that RTE were actually advertising for his replacement at present...

perhaps he was not a full time employee but on contract in the way that many of their higher profile presenters are... if so then i guess we know of one candidate whom could well be unemployed come June 7th

Civil Servants and local authority employees above clerical officer level can't stand for election in the first place. I don't know what the position is with other public servants.

He'll either be unemployed or underemployed as a backbench TD.

if (and i do hope he is) elected, i very much doubt he'll be under employed on the back benches but will become a key member of FG's assault on the gov (FF particularly) and should (god willing) there be a GE and FF be tossed to the scrap heap they so richly deserve, i'd expect him to be a key member of government.....

should he not be elected (and god help us if the ppl of Dublin South select Brennan or to a lesser extent White) i reckon he could have a rather successful career in the media (bar RTE for a bit though) if he so wished, but lets hope it doesn't come to that)
